You will have a great day!Our first stop will be at Ílhavo Maritime Museum which is a true icon of contemporary architecture, twice renewed. designed by the prestigious Portuguese architects Nuno Mateus and José Mateus and that was also nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award in 2002, amongst other international architecture prizes. This amazing museum is one of the most visited museums in the region of Centro de Portugal.Ílhavo Maritime Museum tells the story of high sea fishing in the Newfoundland and in Greenland, as well as in the Ria de Aveiro lagoon. The Seas Room presents an interesting collection of nautical instruments and miniatures of ancient boats ending on the Codfish Aquarium, so that everyone can really meet the living precious Cod.Time to move on and view the point where the sea meets the river, and all begins. Barra, and its magnificent lighthouse, 62 meters high, the tallest in Portugal and one of the world’s taller lighthouses. After admiring and learning the Barra lighthouse and Ria de Aveiro lagoon history, off we go, to meet the beautiful colorful houses haystacks at Costa Nova do Prado.Now it is time for lunch in a nice typical restaurant, we hope you enjoy your meal!After lunch, we will visit the Museum Ship Santo André that is moored at Jardim Oudinot. This fishing trawler is part of the Portuguese codfish fishing fleet and it was built in 1948 in Holland. This 71,40 m long fishing trawler was totally renewed and converted in a museum thanks to the commitment of the ship owner and the Municipality of Ílhavo. It is nowadays a landmark of the city region!Our last stop will be at Porto Bacalhoeiro (Codfish Harbor), a landmark of Ílhavo history and berth of Gafanha da Nazaré. Aveiro is a city in the center of Portugal and it has developed in the center of the natural lagoon known as Ria de Aveiro. The natural lagoon appeared around the XVI century and is the result of several nature accidents, the first being the sea indentation. It's also the estuary of the river Vouga. The lagoon is separated by the sea by two big dunes. On one of these dunes is the famous and popular Costa Nova beach with his colourful houses. The water walk is the descent of small canyons and gorges, following the course of a water line. Walking, swimming, jumping and sliding ... advancing slowly, discovering small waterfalls and sparkling clear water ponds where the sun reflects and invites you to dive.We will start our adventure in Aveiro city, and from there we will go to Sever do Vouga in an air conditioned mini-van with wi-fi available.After arriving at Sever do Vouga the briefing will take place and we will start our Aquatic walk in Gresso and Vouga rivers;We will be surronded by a beatifull nature scenario, with lots of trees, waterfalls and really nice birds, you can really connect with nature here! Fado from Coimbra show.We will travel from Aveiro to Anadia and we will start with a visit to Caves de São Domingos just in heart of Anadia. 80 years journey to study, investigate and produce sparkling capturing all its freshness and minerality of this unique region of Bairrada with its diverse terroir. Caves de São Domingos recently won the Great Gold Medal Award for his sparkling wine. Unrepeatable, sophisticated sparkling, vibrant, fresh and with good amplitude. From Anadia we wil got to Coimbta to visit The University of Coimbra, Alta and Sofia, is inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage list since the 22nd June 2013. The fundaments for this recognition are the universal value of this architectural landscape, the role of the university in the formation and dissemination of the Portuguese language and culture, and it's influence as the Alma Mater of several institutions and persons around the world. Finally it's time to listen to Fado. A magical space with a unique atmosphere were you can find the most genuine and traditional Fado from Coimbra. Only the best musicians of the city play here and they are selected according to the highest standards of this 160 year old tradition. The show finishes with a Port tasting. After the show we will return to Aveiro.
